\REPLACE_EXISTING_TITLE_BLOCK
REPLACE EXISTING TITLE BLOCK
You can replace an existing title block with a new one by
checking this box. If there are several existing title
blocks, you will be prompted to select the insertion point
of the one you want to replace after pushing the <OK> button.
When you replace an existing title block, the new title
block will inherit the attribute values of similarly-named
attributes in the old title block, and the old one will be
erased. This allows you to insert a new title block at a
different scale, for instance, without needing to re-enter
the attribute values (although you will still be given the
opportunity to make any necessary changes).
\PATTERN
PATTERN
Enter a file specification pattern (defaults to "*.bdr").
Only files which match the pattern will be displayed in the
list of available borders. Normal use does not require you
to change the default pattern.
Ex. Setting 'pattern' to "*.*" lists all files.
Please Note: Listing and selecting a file which is not
a valid drawing file will cause the program to abort when it
attempts to insert the file.
\PATH
PATH
This tile shows the full pathname to the current
directory. If the pathname exceeds displayable length,
it is truncated.
\DIRECTORIES
DIRECTORIES
Select a different directory (or drive) by double-clicking
on one of the available subdirectories.
Please Note: If you double-click on an empty floppy drive
you will be alerted to the unavailability of that
drive, and the previous drive will remain current.
*Due to the way the AutoCAD dialog box interface
controls list boxes, the "directories" list box
remains in a state of "waiting for you to release
the pick button" after this happens. Fix this
condition by picking the current drive letter.
\BORDERS
BORDERS
Select a listed border by picking it, or by using the
'up' and 'down' arrows from the keyboard. By setting
a different PATTERN, file types other than ".bdr" can be
displayed. The selected border file name is checked to
make sure it exists, but there is no check made to insure
that the file is a valid drawing file.
Please Note: Listing and selecting a file which is not
a valid drawing file will cause the program to abort when it
attempts to insert the file.
\BORDER_FILE
BORDER FILE
Enter the name of the title block border you wish to
insert. The name can be typed or selected from the list of
available borders.
See also: BORDERS
Please Note: Entering the name of an existing file which
is not a valid drawing file will cause the program to abort
when it attempts to insert the file.
\DRAWING_SCALE
DRAWING SCALE
Setting drawing scale determines the scaling of the
border during insertion. You can either type in the actual
scale factor ('Use Predefined Scale' must be turned 'off') or,
by defining descriptive names associated with different scale
factors, you can simply specify the scale factor by selecting
its description.
During insertion of the title block, it will be scaled by
the INVERSE of this number; that is, if scale is specified as
0.50 (half scale), then the title block will be inserted at
2X scale (1 / 0.50 = 2X). This will result in the correct
output size if the drawing is then plotted at 1/2 scale.

\SCALE
SCALE
When 'Use Predefined Scale' is 'on', this popup list
allows you to specify a scale factor by selecting the
textual description you assigned to that scale factor.
There is always a <Default> scale at the top of the
list: the scale factor associated with the <Default> item
is determined by the global AutoLISP variable *DWGSCALE.
If this variable is not defined, the default will be full
scale (1.00).
All the predefined scales are maintained in a text file
with a .TBD extension. The global variable *TBSCALES can
contain the name of the desired file, however if none is
specified, it defaults to 'TBSCALES.TBD', which is created
in the same directory as the program. This file is updated
as new scales are added, or old ones are modified or deleted.

\ADD_SCALE_DEFINITION
ADD SCALE DEFINITION
You can enter a new predefined scale at any time by
pressing the "Add New..." button. You are asked to enter
a short description and a real number for the desired
scale factor.
The definition file is immediately updated to reflect
the new scale definition.

\EDIT_SCALE_DEFINITION
EDIT SCALE DEFINITION
You can edit the selected predefined scale by
pressing the "Edit..." button. You may change its
description or its associated scale factor.
The definition file is immediately updated to reflect
the modified scale definition.

\DELETE_SCALE_DEFINITION
DELETE SCALE DEFINITION
You can delete the selected predefined scale by
pressing the "Delete" button. You are given an opportunity
to cancel the action before the definition is deleted.
The definition file is immediately updated to reflect
the deleted scale definition.

USE PREDEFINED SCALE
When this toggle is 'on', you must select from the
available list of predefined scales. When it is 'off',
you can type any scale factor in the "scale factor"
edit box.
Note: If you type in a scale factor directly it is
not added to the list of predefined scales!
\INSERT_POINT
INSERTION POINT
Select an insertion point either by typing X, Y, & Z
coordinates, or by picking a point on the screen. If a
valid border has been selected previously, the selected
block will drag across the screen as you pick an insertion
point.
\ROTATION_ANGLE
ROTATION ANGLE
Select a rotation angle for the border. This must only
be done in unique circumstances where the title block must
be aligned at an angle. You can either type in an angle
or digitize it on the screen.
\LAYER
LAYER
Select the layer on which to place the new title block.
You can select from a list of existing layers or type in a
new layer name. If the layer doesn't exist, it will be
created.
\CHECK_IT_OUT
CHECK IT OUT
This button allows you to preview the title block
(without attributes) as it would look with current settings.
You can only preview after an existing border file has been
selected. If the selected border file is not a valid
drawing, the program will fail when it tries to insert
that file into the drawing.
